The Computer School Admissions

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in The Computer School!

Updates on Middle School Admissions This Year

From the DOE Site:

  • Families can now list any New York City public middle school on their application!
  • Zoned schools will continue to prioritize zoned students for seats.
  • Most programs will also have a district priority, which means that seats will
first be filled by students and residents of the district.
  • IF seats remain, students and residents from other districts will be considered.

  • Please note: We receive a great deal of applications from District 3

  • Students are not required to attend a tour or open house in order
to apply to The Computer School.

If you'd like to get a glimpse into the hearts and minds of those in the CS community,
please take a look at our ASM trailer. ASM stands for All School Meeting,
an event through which we connect, explore our values and growth,
show school spirit, celebrate our accomplishments, and so much more.

Middle school applications are submitted through MySchools.nyc.
If you have not been provided access to this site, please contact your current
public school or the District 3 Family Welcome Center's Office of Student Enrollment.
If you are currently enrolled in an independent school, the district office will
assist you in establishing a MySchools.nyc application.

Admissions Update!

Fall 2025

Greetings 5th Grade Families,

I hope the school year is off to a good start for you all!

I know that many of you are looking forward to touring The Computer School this fall. Here is the link to sign up! CS FALL TOURS
If, for some reason, you are asked for a code, it is: jg3sx

How it works:
We are hosting two tours in October, two in November, and we may add one in early December before your applications are due.
Please use the link above to register for a tour, which will take place in the morning. You'll receive a "proof of tour" letter to give your school so you are not marked late or absent.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Best,
