We began the first days back by discovering each other, exploring our All Community Read, Out of My Mind, and meeting our teachers. We hosted an engaging Curriculum Night and the Back to School Potluck on September 12th, followed by the first Parent Association meeting (and workshops) on September 17th. We talked about the adjustment to middle school with many of our 7th and 8th graders, while 8th graders also embarked upon their high school process with Ms. Hill.
Since then, we have made many discoveries - on the Hudson, in Philadelphia, down the street at AMNH and the NY Historical Society; we've played games and ran our personal bests, we have created art, cried out for climate awareness, and have collaborated with one another. We have learned from our errors, we have celebrated our moments of growth... and that's just in the past 3 months. More to come in 2020...
