Picture Days: Retake is Groundhog Day!

On December 14th and 15th students were photographed. Now that you've seen your proofs, you can plan on attending Retake Day if you need to. Aptly, it's planned for February 2nd, Groundhog Day!

On January 13th, CS graduates will talk about their high schools. They can give you some perspective and feedback which will help 8th graders fine tune their choices. It's quite an illustrious group!

Farm to People: A win-win for you and CS!

Our trial fundraiser for Farm To People is closing on January 15th. Check it out!
FTP is an online farmer’s market delivering to people in NYC. Their mission is to make it easier to eat well at home by curating farm shares and a marketplace with the best seasonal, local produce, sustainable meat and fish, and delicious grocery staples. If you participate, CS will benefit, your carbon footprint will be smaller, and you'll be supporting local farmers.

Family Fun Run & Hot Chocolate!

Dec 17th, before school, parents, guardians, students and staff are invited to a fun run (jog, walk...) in Central Park. We'll meet in front of the main entrance, drop off our stuff, go for a morning run in our best "ugly" festive sweaters/sweats/hats.... you may win "best in show!"

Adult Evening Hours @ Da Capo 12/15

Da Capo is welcoming us to gather in their winterized outdoor seating cubbies so you all can get to know each other better. An RSVP link was sent out via Jupiter. It's not necessary to RSVP to attend but it helps us plan.) Cheers!

6th and 7th Grade Field Days!

Field Days for 6th and 7th graders will take place this week - on the 17th for 7th graders and on the 18th for 6th graders. On these days, we'll travel to Riverside Park where we will spend 2 periods engaging in various team building and competitive activities. Students will all get Field Day t-shirts and we'll have a great time!

Dec. 4th: Family Get Together, Hot Chocolate Hang, Merch Sale

This Saturday it's happening - please join us for a school-wide meet up in the yard. It’s been a minute since we have all been together, so the PA and Ms. Sloves invite you to hang out, have some hot chocolate, coffee and treats, and join other families for some time together.
Bundle up, we'll provide the beverages and a few of the treats - and we know some of you are brining goodies, too.

Greek Olympics - The Battle is On!

On Friday afternoon, the 19th, 8th grade city-states will compete in one of the big events of the fall - Greek Olympics. They will test their strength, speed, and teamwork, and display their dazzling shields in spirited competition in Riverside Park.
